Our story
Mike and Jodi Shaw, and a mountain they've known for years.
Sun Peaks Cargo is a small family business. We live, work and raise our family here.
Mike and Jodi are lifelong British Columbians. They spent years enjoying Tod Mountain and the area around it before Sun Peaks came to be in 1992.
After living and working across much of the province, they moved to the Sun Peaks area from Northern BC in the summer of 2016 to be closer to family. An epic winter followed, and the idea for Sun Peaks Cargo was born.
Mike has held a Class 1 licence since 1997. He has driven moving trucks, logging trucks, fuel trucks, refrigerated units and a scheduled delivery service across Northern BC and Alberta. Jodi worked as a legal secretary, ran the office of their previous business and owned a daycare for several years.
Now in their 9th year, Sun Peaks Cargo keeps them busy full time, with help from their children, Trevor and Nicole. They're proud to provide an essential service on the mountain, and grateful to the community that supports them.

“They treated my furniture with great care and exceeded my expectations in every way.”

“Mike was at the door with our groceries in the time frame as promised.”
