OUR STORY
Mike & Jodi Shaw ~ Founders of Sun Peaks Cargo
Mike and Jodi are life-long residents of British Columbia. After living, working and playing throughout much of the Province, they moved to the Sun Peaks area from Northern BC in the summer of 2016 to be closer to family and the area they grew up. An epic winter followed and the concept of Sun Peaks Cargo was born.
A class 1 driver since 1997, Mike has been on the roads of BC operating moving trucks, logging trucks, fuel trucks, refrigeration units and a scheduled delivery service in Northern BC & AB. Jodi worked as a legal secretary, ran the office end of their previous business and owned and operated a successful daycare for several years while their children were growing.
After moving to Sun Peaks, all of their previous skills and experience came together to create Sun Peaks Cargo. Now entering their 8th season of operation, it has become a small, reputable family business that keeps Mike and Jodi busy full time.
Living, working and raising their family in Sun Peaks has provided amazing experiences, connections and opportunities for themselves and their two children, Trevor and Nicole.
Mike and Jodi are proud to continue providing an essential service in Sun Peaks and very grateful for the support of the community.
